The reference material is excellent, but mainly in the front and back of the book, not on every page under the text like most study Bibles. There are very good book introductions though. The Proclamation Bible doesn't have anywhere near the extra references of say the NIV, ESV, or NLT Study Bibles, and no verse by verse commentary/5(40).
